Response
I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested is attached.
Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data.
Data is live and provided as is on the date of extract, 15 September 2025.
All members with any ‘medical staff’ (Capacity 03) service in the 1995 Section are in scope; this includes those currently contributing to the scheme, those with deferred benefits, and those who have claimed their 1995 Section benefits (including those who are now deceased). Only those who are over age 60 as of the date of reporting, 15 September 2025, are included.
Questions 2 and 2a are restricted to active or deferred members who have not yet claimed any of their 1995 Section pension benefits and are over age 60 as of the date of reporting, 15 September 2025.
Some members may hold Mental Health Officer (MHO) or Special Class Status, which could allow them to retire earlier than the normal pension age of 60.
Members may have additional and/or concurrent non-medical service and may not be actively working in a medical capacity today. Members may have benefits (claimed or unclaimed) in the 2008 Section or the 2015 Scheme.
