‘I would like to know the number items of Leqvio/inclisiran personally administered medicines claims for GP practices in NHS North East London for each month in the time period and if possible the number of unique patients for which leqvio/inclisiran was adminsitered to in each month. I do not need the information at GP level, but ICB level.’ [1/1/2024 – 1/6/2025]

‘For all of January 2024 and every each and every month, and for all of June 2025. Can you run the data for NHS North East London, NHS South West London, NHS South East London, NHS North Central London and NHS North West London.’

I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested and a copy of the information and notes explaining it is attached and below.
NHS Prescription Services process prescriptions for Pharmacy Contractors, Appliance Contractors, Dispensing Doctors and Personal Administration with information then used to make payments to pharmacists and appliance contractors in England for prescriptions dispensed in primary care settings (other arrangements are in place for making payments to Dispensing Doctors and Personal Administration). This involves processing over 1 billion prescription items and payments totalling over £9 billion each year. The information gathered from this process is then used to provide information on costs and trends in prescribing in England and Wales to over 25,000 registered NHS and Department of Health and Social Care users.
Exclusions
The Data excludes:
• Items not dispensed, disallowed and those returned to the contractor for further clarification.
• Prescriptions prescribed and dispensed in Prisons, Hospitals and Private prescriptions.
• Items prescribed but not presented for dispensing or not submitted to NHS Prescription Services by the dispenser.
• Items supplied as part of a Pharmacy First consultation or service.

The data source was the NHSBSA Information Services Data Warehouse.

January 2024 - June 2025
Organisation Data
The data provided is for prescriptions dispensed in England. The data is presented at ICB level, limited to personally administered items in NHS North East London, NHS South West London, NHS South East London, NHS North Central London, and NHS North West London ICBs.
Drugs
Limited to the chemical substance Inclisiran (0212000AM).
Identified Patients
Prescriptions are only included if an NHS Number has been captured during NHSBSA processing. For this time period, 94.81% of the patients within the limits of the dataset were identified.
